"The Poets’ Long Journey"

icon
The Arts Theatre on the occasion of the show "The Poets’ Long Journey", is organizing a meeting/ event at Linto on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at 21:00, in which those who organize the event will talk about their participation in this production and exchange views on the role of art in today's world of conflict and personal/ social deadlock.

“The theater, as a major artistic trend carrier, meets poetry, which being “an actress” presents things not as they exactly are.” Kiki Dimoula, poet. “Poets become people, but "... as some rickety guitars" they are unable to carry out their role.” Kostas Karyotakis, poet. “Perhaps all they (the poets) have left is love even as an unfulfilled feeling.” Maria Polydouri, poet. “The race however, lasts since this country has no end” Manolis Anagnostakis, poet. So what helps poetry?

The participant friends will offer answers in a free discussion because “Poetry is an open door” Fanis Pavlopoulos, actor or “(Poetry is) wandering in isolated streets and arteries where life dances” Marina Aslanoglou, actress.

Poems dress up theatrically and become vehicles for transmitting ideas and expressing emotions. They listen to the heart beat of reality and allegorically oppose to everything that affects human rights. In this perpetual relationship between Art and Society the value of freedom of people and peoples is variously displayed.

The Arts Theatre would like to thank Linto Organisation for its cooperation, through which Linto actively proves its commitment to the quality of cultural activities.
